Types of PE Bags

PE Bag Production Process
Step 1: Extrusion - Blowing
- This is the most important step because it determines the thickness and thinness of the PE bag. The starting material is polyethylene resin (PE granules).
- These PE pellets are fed into an extruder, where they are melted under controlled conditions until they become molten and flexible (about 380°F). They are then extruded through a tube format. While still at a high temperature, one outlet of the tube is fixed, and air is blown in to form bubbles, cooling the film and extending it to the desired size and thickness.
- As the film rises to about 20 - 35 feet, it cools and is formed into a flat, two-layer sheet as it passes through a slot between two rollers. Finally, it is rolled up into film rolls.
Step 2: Printing
- The rolls of film completed in Step 1 are transferred to the printing section. Depending on the design, the number of colors, and the number of bags, the printing process will use nylon screen printing, gravure printing, or flexo printing. Gravure printing is typically used for large bag rolls.
- In this step, the shapes and text required for the design are created. This step is crucial as it determines the appearance of the designs on the bags. It is also the step that customers are most interested in, as it affects the visibility and attractiveness of logos and text for businesses, organizations, and individuals. Modern printing technology offers many special advantages for this purpose.
Step 3: Finishing
- This is the final step in the production process of PE bags. It includes cutting, marking, folding, stamping, attaching handles, and other finishing processes, depending on the design of the PE bag
